In order that we all enjoy this forum to the utmost, we've got to set some standards.
so here's the deal:

No spam. What is spam? Contrary to my mother's generation's presepositions, spam is not icky canned meat. According to tecrime.com, spam is "to indiscriminately post unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially commercial advertising in mass quantities." Basically, anything irrelevant, useless, meaningless, derogatory, or not of general interest qualifies as spam. Keep posts more than two lines long, please. Don't ask stupid questions. Read the entire thread before you post. Believe me, when you don't post spam everyone is a whole lot happier.

Respect. As Christians we should be endeavering to be more like Jesus, and we should be reflecting Him at all times. We've got to keep in mind His second greatest commandment. John 13:34-35, The Message, "Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other." We ask that you guys show each other this love and be gracious towards each other.

Appropriate vocabulary. You're engaged in a heated argument (you shouldn't have been engaged in a heated argument in the first place, but stick with me here.) and, suddenly, your opponent takes your words out of context! The *bleep-bleep*!! You fire right back at them with colorful words that none of us have the desire to read. This scenario is something we want to avoid. Please don't use crass or outright bad words, especially in reference to someone else.

Spelling and grammar. Not that huge of an issue. But please make it a priority to use proper grammar (spelling, punctuation, capitalization). The goal is to have thoughtful conversation, make sure that you have a lot to say, and that you say it in a professional manner.

Conflict.
I know, something that we'd love to avoid 100% of the time, but that is not reality. Check out the Peacemaker's Pledge: http://www.peacemaker.net/site/c.aqKFLTOBIpH/b.958159/k.A440/Peacemakers_Pledge.htm

If you have any questions at all, or concerns, or have an issue with one of the mods, please contact that person directly, instead of gossiping or fuming or wondering how your question will get answered.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Carry on!

This is to new members, as recently we seem to have this problem with them. Please do not just ramdomly post a topic unless you think it will foster good discussion. A prime example of this would be if someone asks why some of us have different countries on our profiles if we are all local. A new thread doesn't need to be started just for frivilous stuff. Any and all threads posted should be stimulating enough to go at least three pages long.

*Don't take it personally if your thread is locked. If you have a problem, take it up with the moderator responsible.*

When I win, I'm an Arminian. When I lose I'm a Calvinist.
